The GENERAL DELEGATION FOR NATIONAL SECURITY in French: ÉLÉGATION GÉNÉRALE À LA SÛRETÉ NATIONALE (DGSN) has released a post based on the social media as this has not been located yet on their official website that over 4 million Cameroonians have double identities. This can be caused by the fact that one person produces more than one identity card within a short period of time (Obviously less than 10 years). Below is an image to the post that's currently in circulation on social media.

Based on the fact that over 4 million Cameroonians are faced with the concept of double identity, due to double identification, fake birth certificates, erroneous ID receipts are the reasons for which thousands and thousands of citizens do not have identification documents. The DGSN informs the population and citizens out of the country that an online platform for information, guidance and the production of ID CARDS and PASSPORTS has been put in place. This circular has though, been in motion since November 15, 2022 according to the picture presented here but very few are aware of its content.
