FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION Here you will be seeing a paper on Food and nutrition for the Cameroon General certificate of Education (CGCE). Food and nutrition is studied only at the ordinary levels, that is, from Forms one through upper sixth. It is studied by both arts and Science students at both levels. IN THE ORDINARY LEVEL: Food and nutrition remains so called and bears the code 0540. Hence, Food and nutrition-540 (F/N-540). It comprises of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper one is purely of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) while paper 2 comprises of a series of well-structured Free Response Questions (FRQ). IN THE ADVANCED LEVEL: Food and nutrition bears the title FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION and is studied by both arts and science students. It takes the code 0740 and is thus called Food and nutrition 740. It comprises of three papers (Paper 1, 2 and 3) all written with paper 1 being MCQ.
