ENGLISH LANGUAGE Here you will be seeing a paper on English Language for the Cameroon General certificate of Education (CGCE). English Language is studied only at the ordinary levels, that is, from Forms one through upper sixth. It is studied by both arts and science students at the ordinary level but becomes an arts subject in high school. IN THE ORDINARY LEVEL: English Language remains so called and bears the code 0530. Hence, English-Language-530 (English-530). It comprises of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper one is purely of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) while paper 2 comprises of 2 major questions which entails the writing of a directed writing essay and a composition essay as second question. IN THE ADVANCED LEVEL: English language bears the same title and is studied by arts students only. It takes the code 0730 and is thus called English Language 730.
